Congratulations! As an approved Love Your Block project, your service agency is eligible to check out tools from the Atlanta Community ToolBank to help equip more volunteers for action. Please review the tool usage guidelines carefully and contact the ToolBank with any questions.

How Can My Love Your Block Agency Use the ToolBank?

· Visit www.atlanta.toolbank.org

· Click Join The ToolBank ( Home Page, Left Side Bar)

· Complete the online Membership Form.

**List your Agency Name as Love Your Block/the same approved group name listed on your Love Your Block Application

· You will receive a request for membership dues payment - you may skip this part as The Home Depot Foundation sponsorship covers your membership fee.

· ToolBank staff will contact you within 48 hours of your application submission.

· Membership length will be based on your approved grant cycle/project duration, as determined by the Love Your Block Program.

· If your agency is an established ToolBank member, you will not need to submit a new membership application. Simply list Love Your Block under the project description for each tool order related to your approved Love Your Block program.

ORDER TOOLS!

Please place all tool orders at least 48 hours prior to your preferred pick up time.

Visit www.atlanta.toolbank.org.

Click the yellow Tool Order Login button located on the left side bar.

Enter your e-mail and password.

Click New Tool Order – located to the left at the top.

Enter all fields on the Project Information Form.

List your Project Description as: Love Your Block

Select tool pick up time – The ToolBank works by appointment only.

Appointments are available M-F between the hours of 8:30a-11:30am or 1:00 pm-3:30Pm

Select Tools (enter quantity beside each tool name).

*Tools are listed by category. Enter the quanitity needed beside each tool name. Hover the mouse over the tool name to see a picture and description of each tool.

Submit form, ToolBank staff will call to confirm your order within 48 hours.

TOOL USE GUIDELINES AND FEES

Thanks to sponsor funding from The Home Depot Foundation, tool handling fees will be waived. Late return and tool repalcement fees do apply, please read the guidelines carefully.

You are eligible to order tools with a tool handling value up to $125.00 at no cost, for the duration of your Live Your Block Program. This can be done in one tool order or spread out among several tool orders.

Each tool order normally requires payment of a tool handling fee at the time of the tool pick up. Tool Handling fees are based on 3% of the tool retail value. The online tool order system will still calculate the fee and provide a printable invoice to allow you to monitor your usage.

If your tool needs exceed the $125.00 allotment, your agency is still eligible to check out tools by paying the additional fee, based on 3% of the tool retail value.

A full replacement fee is assesed on all non-returned tools. NOTE: The Love Your Block Program requires all participating agencies who check out tools to cover any lost tool fees resulting from their project.
HOW LONG CAN WE USE THE TOOLS?

Each tool check out provides 7 days of tool usage.

Failure to return the tools within 7 days of the tool check out will result in a late tool return fee, based on 6% of the tool order retail value. Late fees accrue on a 7 day basis.

NOTE: The Love Your Block Program requires all participating agencies who check out tools to cover any late tool return fees resulting from their project.

HOW DO WE PICK UP THE TOOLS?

All tool orders are picked up at the ToolBank warehouse, located 3 blocks south of Turner Field.

Physical address is 55 Ormond Street , SE Atlanta, GA 30315

Vehicles should be backed into the loading dock where ToolBank staff can assist with load out.

At check out, you will render payment and sign the tool usage agreement and liability waiver.

At check out, you will receive an itemized list of your tool order. Please keep this to use as packing list at the completion of your project.
